Google Analytics courses
We teach companies how to use Google Analytics in order to create a better business. Here is a small introduction to the tool.
Google Analytics is a tool that helps keep track on your website visitors and what they do at your site. You can exploit this knowledge to optimize the website in order to get the visitors to stay longer and easier find what they are looking for.
What are the visitors doing on your website?
With Google Analytics you are able to see how quickly the visitors leave your site. If a large amount of visitors leave the website immediately after visiting it, it’s important to improve the quality of the content and focus on making it easier to navigate on the site. Otherwise, it won’t be easy to achieve good rankings on Google.
In addition to visiting time and bounce rate you can also see:
- Which pages that attracts most visitors
- Which pages they click onto when visitors first enter the page
- What pages they visited, just before they left the site again
- What the conversion rate is
- Which products or pages that leads to most conversions
- Average value of goods in web shop basket
The is the kind of knowledge that gives a clear picture of what your website visitors do at your site, and where you need to make an effort to get users to stay longer.
How to increase sales in your webshop
If you have a site with a webshop it’s possible to gain insights about the products your visitors are looking at, the products with the best conversion rate, the average basket size, and the overall conversion rate of your web shop – i.e. the percentage of the visitors who end up buying something.
All this is important for you as a webshop owner, to understand how to optimize your shop.
Google Analytics can also register where the problem starts in the purchasing process. Maybe you need to change the placement of the buttons to make the pages more intuitive or change the content of the site in order to convince the customers to use your web shop?
What are your visitors searching for?
If you have a search box at the webshop, it’s possible to track what the visitors are searching for, and which words and sentences they use. This gives you knowledge about the phrases and words you should use, as well as what the visitors are interested in. Hopefully you already have the right content on the site – otherwise it’s a good idea to get it.
Where are your visitors coming from?
Through Google Analytics you can also get insights on which sites your visitors is coming from. If they are using Google, you can see the words they have searched for to find your site.
This gives you a clear pictures of the most popular keywords and which to use in order to create better content with a solid raking in the search results.
Who are your visitors?
With Universal Analytics, you can get a lot of demographic information about the users of your website. This allows you to get a better picture of who actually visits the site. This allows you to customize the content to the target audience.
Does your AdWords work?
If you are using Google AdWords, you can in Analytics track the traffic coming in via clicks on your Google AdWords ads and see what these people are doing on the site.
